Kids in Motion — where kids of all ages can learn about improving their physical, mental and dental health. This community festival showcases cars, trucks and all things that go, along with valuable tips on living a healthier life.
Presented by the Junior League of Charlotte (JLC), Kids in Motion is part of the JLC's Healthy Child Initiative focusing on improving the mental, dental and physical health of Charlotte's children.
Over 4000 people attended Kids in Motion in 2007. Each of those had the chance to:
Explore five themed streets that included over 20 vehicles such as dump trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, car haulers, garbage trucks and much, much more. Kids were able to sit the driver’s set of some vehicles and pretend to man the controls!
Get Involved with make and take crafts, Kids in the Kitchen cooking demonstrations, and many other hands-on demonstrations and projects aimed at promoting mental, dental and physical wellness.
Be Entertained with magicians, clowns, mascots, putting greens, rock walls and many more amusement
