Public Policy Institute
The Public Policy Institute (PPI) is an Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) award-winning training program that helps league and community members deepen their understanding of advocacy and public policy issues. The Public Policy Institute curriculum teaches participants advocacy skills on the local, state, and national levels. In the class, attendees will participate in a city council simulation.They will also learn from city council members, state officials, and community leaders who share their experiences of advocating for change.
PPI will be held on February 11, 2017, from 8:30 AM to 4 PM in the Community Room at the JLC Building.
Any Active, Provisional or Sustaining member of the JLC, any member of surrounding Junior Leagues and JLC Community Partners are welcome to register. There is a $20 registration fee ($30 for nonmembers) before December 10th, and $30 registration fee ($40 for nonmembers) after December 10, 2016. Payment is due upon registration.
PPI registration is now available. Click here for the 2016-2017 registration form. No prior public policy related experience is expected or required. Applications are due by January 24, 2017.
