ABOUT THE JLC WEARHOUSE
The JLC WearHouse is a retail nonprofit operation supported by volunteers and all proceeds contributing to community initiatives of the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC). Stop in to find new and repurposed:
- Women’s clothing, including petite, plus sizes and maternity
- Men’s clothing
- Baby and children’s clothing
- Shoes for the entire family
- Accessories, including handbags and jewelry
- Housewares
- Designer consignment items, including designer denim and shoes
- New overstock items from boutique retailers
- JLC cookbooks
The League has contributed to the community through the JLC WearHouse since 1936. JLC members donate to the store in merchandise or cash, and local businesses contribute consignments and donate overstocks of new merchandise. The JLC WearHouse expanded by moving from its former location on 4th Street in Midtown to its new, larger location at 1117 Pecan Avenue in Plaza-Midwood in the spring of 2009. Since its inception, the mission has remained the same: to offer quality merchandise, to raise money for community projects, and to offer a fun and rewarding community placement for its members.
