President’s Message
Welcome to the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC)!
I have the honor of serving as President of the JLC for our 2023-2024 League year, and I am glad that you are curious about our organization.
Servant leadership has always been an important part of my life. My grandmother taught us all the importance of thinking beyond ourselves. Originally from New York, I moved to Charlotte in 2013 and began connecting with organizations that would allow me to serve while learning more about my new home. The JLC has been a place for me to learn about our local community, the importance of collective action and how intentional organizational change leads volunteers to be greater partners.
As we move through the year, embracing our history while defining new mission-focused ways of working will be our key to success.
The 2023-24 League year begins with a new focus area: children’s mental and physical health. We are embracing a new approach to leadership, a renewed commitment to our membership and expanding our fundraising efforts in support of the JLC mission. We are excited to share our journey with Charlotte!
